According to the Mayor of London, car owners who have older, more polluting cars and vans will be in the centre of the new extra £10 charge, should they decide to drive in central London after the 23rd of October 2017.

Both Diesel & petrol cars with pre-Euro 4 engines who were broadly those registered before 2005, will be affected by the new toxicity charge (or else T-change).

It is said that the new toxicity charge, is set to improve London's air quality, while accompanied with the existing £11.50 congestion charge during the same 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, window, the new levy is expected to affect up to 10,000 vehicles.
